BTS Jimin Continues Making K-Pop Solo History: ‘Who’ Stays on UK Official Singles Chart for 23 Weeks
BTS's Jimin has achieved another milestone on the UK Official Charts.
On February 7 (local time), Jimin's solo track Who, the title song from his second album MUSE, ranked 23rd on the UK Official Singles Chart, marking its 23rd consecutive week on the chart. Since the chart's revamp in 2014, Jimin has become the longest-charting Korean solo artist, breaking his own record every week. Among all K-pop songs, BTS's Dynamite, released in August 2020, holds the record for the longest stay on the chart. This achievement makes Jimin the artist with the longest-charting songs in both group and solo categories. Who also secured spots on the Audio Streaming chart (33rd) and the Singles Streaming chart (36th).
Meanwhile, Dreamers, the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup QatarTM, sung by Jungkook, continues to maintain popularity, ranking 62nd on the Video Streaming chart for the fourth consecutive week.
BTS's dominance is evident on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify. Jimin's Who and Jin's solo album title track Running Wild ranked 14th and 82nd, respectively, on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart (tracking period: January 31-February 6). Jungkook's first solo single Seven (feat. Latto) landed at 93rd, while V and Park Hyo-shin's duet Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) came in at 112th.
On the Weekly Top Albums Global chart, Jimin's MUSE ranked 20th, Jungkook's first solo album GOLDEN placed 52nd, and Jin's Happy - :') (Remixes) landed at 138th. BTS's anthology album Proof (46th) and their 2018 repackaged album LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer' (182nd) have maintained their positions on the chart for an impressive 139 and 129 weeks, respectively, showcasing the group's unwavering global influence.
