BLACKPINK member Jisoo is preparing for her long-awaited comeback.

On January 10, OSEN reported that Jisoo is aiming to make her solo return in February. When asked for confirmation, a representative for Jisoo stated, "We cannot confirm anything at this time," keeping the details under wraps.

Jisoo's comeback marks her first solo release since her debut single album ME in 2023, nearly two years ago. With the title track Flower, Jisoo captivated audiences, sparking the wildly popular Flower Challenge and achieving nine wins on music shows, cementing her status as a solo powerhouse.

Jisoo's solo return is particularly anticipated as she is the final BLACKPINK member to embark on a solo career. Previously, Jennie released her single Mantra in October 2023, Lisa dropped Rockstar in June 2023, and Rosé unveiled her first full-length album Rosie in December 2023.

Before her musical comeback, Jisoo will reconnect with fans as an actress. She will star as Youngjoo in the Coupang Play series Newtopia, set to premiere on February 7. Directed by Yoon Sung-hyun, known for Bleak Night and Time to Hunt, Newtopia is a romantic comedy-thriller set in a zombie-infested Seoul, following the journey of soldier Jaeyoon (played by Park Jung-min) and his fearless girlfriend Youngjoo. The project is described as a unique blend of K-zombie horror and romantic comedy.

Jisoo's acting return comes nearly three years after her lead role in JTBC's Snowdrop. Having previously made cameo appearances in dramas such as The Producers and Arthdal Chronicles, Jisoo proved her acting potential as Eun Youngro in Snowdrop. Following Newtopia, Jisoo will continue her acting journey with roles in MBC's upcoming drama Monthly Boyfriend and the film Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.

Alongside her solo and acting pursuits, Jisoo will also reunite with BLACKPINK for group activities. YG Entertainment's Executive Producer Yang Hyun-suk has already confirmed plans for BLACKPINK's comeback and a new world tour this year, promising an exciting year ahead for the global sensation.
