Highly regarded TIME magazine has reported that Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi will perform along with prominent lawmakers and influencers from the United Nations, Australia, at TIME 100 Talks international leadership conference.

TIME 100 Talks is an international conference program organized by the influential TIME magazine in New York City. The digital events, established in April 2020, bring together high-ranking people from all sectors of society to address the world 's challenges and the appropriate solutions. U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Michelle Yeoh, ex-Australian Prime Minister Julia Guillard, Fred Swaniker, and CEO of the African Leadership Group, will address how prominent people are "collaborating to bring about positive change" around the world.

For people who love K-Pop, the show's greatest celebrities would be none other than the first subunit of Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. The duo will give a special presentation during the event as per TIME. The performance will undoubtedly be one of the most highly regarded appearances of Red Velvet to date.

Of course, it's not the first opportunity they've been picked as guests at a prestigious diplomatic gathering. They were the only K-Pop band that performed at Spring is Coming in Pyongyang for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, a 2018 peace concert intended at thawing connections between North and South Korea.

Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi would take on the role of MONSTA X, who had previously managed to present at the TIME 100 Talks: Finding Hope event where global leaders openly discussed how to restore the economy after the COVID-19 disease outbreak. MONSTA X performed two songs—"Flow "and" Someone's Someone"—along with the # BlackLivesMatter campaign offering their beacon of unity.

The next digital meeting will convene on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 6:00 PM KST with the Red Velvet's sub-unit scheduled to participate through a video connection from Seoul.
