Taeyeon, a member of the group Girls' Generation (under SM Entertainment), has reaffirmed her strong 'Trust and Listen' power by dominating both domestic and international charts with her comeback.
Released on November 27, Taeyeon's fifth mini album 'To. X' has topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 18 regions worldwide, including Sweden, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Israel, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Macao, Cambodia, and Latvia.
Furthermore, the album clinched the top spot on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, as well as #1 on China's largest music platform QQ Music's Digital Album Sales Chart and KuGou Music's Digital Album Sales Chart, revalidating the high global interest in Taeyeon.
Additionally, the album has been warmly received domestically, achieving #1 on major Korean music album charts like Hanteo Chart, as well as topping various music charts including Melon HOT100, Bugs, Genie, and VIBE, accomplishing an all-kill with its tracks.
Taeyeon's fifth mini album 'To. X' comprises six diverse genre tracks, including the titular song 'To. X', offering an ample opportunity to enjoy Taeyeon's unique vocal charm and deepened musical sensibility.
In particular, the title track 'To. X' is an R&B song harmonizing a sensuous guitar riff with a rhythmic melody. Taeyeon's delicate vocal delivery, which carries a cool and aloof atmosphere, enhances the song's chic mood. The lyrics narrate the realization of being controlled by someone else and signal the end of the relationship.
