BTS Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' Dominates iTunes in Top 8 Global Music Markets
Jungkook from BTS is making a remarkable record on iTunes with his solo album 'GOLDEN.' Released on November 3, 'GOLDEN' has conquered the number one spot in the iTunes charts across the top eight global music markets.
'GOLDEN' has achieved number one in the album charts of iTunes in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, and Germany, demonstrating its powerful global music influence.
As of November 10 (Korean time), 'GOLDEN' topped the iTunes album charts in a total of 90 countries and regions, continually updating its record. It maintained the number one position for seven consecutive days on both the Worldwide and European iTunes album charts, continuing its high-flying global popularity. The title track 'Standing Next to You' from 'GOLDEN' also topped the Worldwide iTunes song chart for seven consecutive days, garnering passionate support from music fans worldwide.
'GOLDEN' swept the top spots on several Spotify charts, including 'Top Album Debut Global,' 'Top Album Debut USA,' and 'Top Album Debut UK.' On its first day, 'GOLDEN' accumulated a record-breaking 42,754,939 streams on Spotify (before filtering), setting a new record for the highest debut streaming for an Asian solo artist's debut album. With a cumulative total of 214,696,304 streams in the first week, it boasts a formidable presence, being the first and only K-Pop solo artist album to break 200 million streams in a week.
Additionally, 'GOLDEN' debuted at the third position on the latest Official Album Top 100 chart (October 10th-16th) of Billboard, marking the highest debut position for a K-Pop solo artist album ever. According to the Hanter Chart, a domestic album sales tally site, Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' had sold a total of 2,438,483 copies as of November 10th, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales (initial sales in the first week after release) among K-Pop solo artists.
Furthermore, 'GOLDEN' also debuted at number one on the latest (as of November 10th) Top Album Chart by the French Music Association (SNEP).
