BTS Jungkook's Double Triumph: Second Consecutive Entry in Billboard's Hot 100 Top 5!
Global pop star Jungkook has once again seized the top ranks of the U.S. Billboard charts with his solo single "3D."
According to a preview article of the latest chart (dated October 14th) posted on the official U.S. Billboard website on October 9th (local time), BTS's Jungkook's solo single "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" secured the 5th spot on the main song chart, 'Hot 100'.
Following his debut solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" which shot straight to 1st place, Jungkook has now entered the 'Top 5' with his second solo single, making him the only Korean solo artist to have more than one song in the 'Hot 100' top 5.
The 'Hot 100' is Billboard's main song chart, which ranks songs based on streaming, radio airplay, and physical (CD) and digital single sales. "3D" recorded 13.6 million streams, 3.1 million in radio airplay, and 87,000 in combined physical and digital single sales.
According to the chart preview, "3D" also topped the 'Digital Song Sales', 'Global 200', and 'Global Excl. U.S.' charts. With this, Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist to have more than one song reach number one on the 'Global' charts. Notably, in the 'Global Excl. U.S.' chart, "3D" took 1st place, while "Seven" secured 2nd, marking the first time in Billboard history that a solo artist has simultaneously held the top two spots.
In total, as a solo artist, Jungkook has placed four songs on the 'Hot 100' chart: "Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)" (95th), a collaboration with Charlie Puth "Left and Right" (22nd), and this year's solo singles "Seven" (1st) and "3D" (5th).
On the latest 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart (dated October 8th) released by the global streaming giant Spotify, "Seven" returned to the top spot, with "3D" following closely in 3rd place.
With the consecutive success of "Seven" and "3D", Jungkook has firmly established himself as a 'Global Pop Star'.
Meanwhile, Jungkook will release his first solo album 'GOLDEN' simultaneously worldwide at 1 PM (KST) on the 3rd of next month.
Inspired by the 'golden moments' of solo artist Jungkook, the album will feature a total of 11 tracks, including the solo singles "Seven" and "3D". Following this, Jungkook will host a fan showcase titled 'Jung Kook 'GOLDEN' Live On Stage' at 8 PM on November 20th at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul.
