New Girl Group ‘Secret Number’ Debuts With First Indonesian Idol
A new girl group called ‘Secret Number’ debuted earlier this month under VINE Entertainment.
Secret Number is a five-member girl group that debuted on May 19, 2020, with their single album “Who Dis?” The new group consists of Jinny, Denise, Soodam, Dita, and Léa.
The single was composed and produced by Melanie Fontana, who has wrote songs for Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Sia, Halsey and The Chainsmokers; Michel “Lindgren” Shulz; Shark and A Wright. The rap, however, was written by one of the group’s members, Jinny, The Jakarta Post reported.
The group initially caught the attention of the people and the media due to one of the members, Dita Karang, who is Indonesian. Dita is the first Indonesian idol that debuted in Korea.
Prior to debuting with Secret Number, Dita was a dancer from 1MILLION Dance. She trained under VINE Entertainment for 2 years and debuted as the main dancer and lead vocalist in her group.
Dita has been receiving a lot of support from her Indonesian fans and she has expressed her desire for her group to perform in Indonesia in the future.
Aside from Dita, another member of Secret Number is from another country. The group’s leader and vocalist, Léa, is from Tokyo, Japan. She joined MIXNINE and was ranked #109.
The main vocalist of the group, also the youngest member, is Denise. She is a Korean-American. She used to be a trainee under YG Entertainment.
Aside from Denise, co-member Jinny is also a Korean-American. She is the main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist of the group. She also used to be a trainee under YG Entertainment. She participated in Produce 48 as an individual trainee after she left YG.
The last member is Soodam. She is the only pure Korean in the group. She is the lead vocalist, lead dancer, visual, and the center.
Together, these girls show great chemistry and synergy which can be seen in their debut song ‘Who Dis?’ Show them some love by watching their music video!
