BTS's Jungkook to Release New Single '3D': Aiming for Another Chart-Topping Hit
BTS's Jungkook is set to release his second solo single, '3D', at 1 PM on September 29 (KST).
According to Big Hit Music, his label, '3D' is an R&B pop track that playfully delves into the emotions one feels for an unreachable person, using the concept of viewing them from a 1D, 2D, and 3D perspective.
This new track comes approximately two months after his global hit song 'Seven', which clinched the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' chart and remained at number one for nine weeks on the 'Global' chart (excluding the U.S.).
For 'Seven', Jungkook collaborated with female rapper Latto. This time around, he's teamed up with rapper Jack Harlow, known for hits like 'First Class' and his collaboration with Lil Nas X on 'INDUSTRY BABY', which also reached number one on the 'Hot 100'. Harlow will be showcasing his distinctive rap style in this feature.
Big Hit Music commented, "Fans can expect to see a more mature solo artist in Jungkook following 'Seven'."
On the 24th (local time), Jungkook made history by being the first Korean solo artist to headline the '2023 Global Citizen Festival' held in New York's Central Park, continuing his global presence.
During the event, he passionately performed his solo tracks like 'Seven', 'Euphoria', and 'Still With You'. Additionally, he presented a medley of BTS's 'Hot 100' chart-topping hits, including 'Permission to Dance', 'Dynamite', and 'Butter', receiving roaring applause from the audience.
