JYP Entertainment's (JYP) rookie girl group VCHA (Lexi, KG, Camila, Savana, Kaylee, Kendall) has secured the top spot on YouTube's worldwide trending list with their pre-debut single title track 'Y.O.Universe'. As of 8 am on September 23, the 'Y.O.Universe' music video surpassed 1.71 million views and climbed to the top of the worldwide trending list. The video also ranked within the top 10 in various countries, including 5th in the US, 7th in Brazil, and 8th in Canada, and made its mark in 33 regions worldwide.

VCHA is a six-member rookie girl group selected through the global girl group launch project 'A2K' (America2Korea), a collaboration between JYP and Republic Records. On the 22nd, 'A2K' concluded its journey with its 22nd episode, and to commemorate, the pre-debut single 'SeVit (NEW LIGHT)' and title track 'Y.O.Universe' were released simultaneously worldwide.

The final episode of 'A2K' aired on the same day trended at 6th on YouTube in the US, and VCHA's debut stage on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' also ranked 11th, showcasing the global interest in VCHA from the get-go.

'Y.O.Universe' is an uptempo pop track that encapsulates the narrative of the 'A2K' series and the girls, delivering the message that "we are all special because we are different." The song was co-written and composed by JYP's Park Jin-young, Grammy-winning producer Cirkut, who worked on Sam Smith's 'Unholy', among others. The music video portrays the autobiographical stories of the six VCHA members and their aspirations towards their dreams.

The pre-debut single title 'SeVit (NEW LIGHT)' signifies 'new light' and strongly resonates with the group's name. The single includes the title track 'Y.O.Universe', 'Go Getter', and 'Know Me Like That', all of which were showcased in the final stages of 'A2K' and feature the voices of the six members.

In July, JYP launched the massive project 'A2K' on its official YouTube channel. With the goal of debuting a global girl group based on North America's first K-pop training system, JYP's head Park Jin-young took on the role of audition judge, selecting participants and fostering their growth and development from major US cities like Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Dallas, and LA, to an LA boot camp, and finally to Korea.

Having produced successful girl groups like Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE, ITZY, NiziU, and NMIXX, and earning the reputation as the 'powerhouse of girl groups', JYP's introduction of VCHA is expected to make another groundbreaking mark in the global pop market.

Notably, VCHA, under JYP USA, plans to grow as a 'global K-pop artist' centered in the US, in full collaboration with Republic Records, the No.1 label in the US as selected by Billboard, under Universal Music. All eyes are on their strategic localization in the North American market and their global strategy.
