MONSTA X's Hyungwon Releases OST for 'Supermarket Idol'
MONSTA X's Hyungwon has contributed to the soundtrack of the series he's currently starring in, "Supermarket Idol."
On the 22nd at noon, Hyungwon released the fourth OST titled "NOW" for the Tving exclusive series "Supermarket Idol" across various music platforms.
"Supermarket Idol" is a youthful comedic drama that depicts the unexpected journey of an idol group that disbands due to an unforeseen incident and takes on the challenge of running a supermarket. The story humorously portrays the life reboot of the idol group "Thunder Boys" as they face the harsh reality of losing their dreams, careers, and future in an instant, and end up taking over a failing supermarket. In the drama, Hyungwon passionately plays the role of Joy Joon, a rapper from "Thunder Boys" and now in charge of the seafood section at Boram Mart.
"NOW" is a ballad that conveys the longing for past moments that can no longer be revisited. The nostalgic melody combined with an emotional sound is further enhanced by Hyungwon's captivating voice, promising to elevate the immersion of the drama.
Since debuting with MONSTA X in 2015, Hyungwon has been active in various fields including acting, variety shows, and MC roles. Not only is he receiving numerous offers for photo shoots and advertisements due to his striking visuals and standout physique, but he's also recognized for his producing skills, contributing to MONSTA X's album tracks and producing for other artists. Proving his vast musical talents, Hyungwon, boasting top-tier DJing skills, also performs under the name DJ H.ONE.
Recently, he formed a unit and has been active as Shownu X Hyungwon, participating in the production of the title track "Love Me A Little" and the included song "Roll With Me." He's also revealing his bright and candid charm through his first solo web variety show, "Hyungwon's Castaway Diary."
