Actor Yoo Ah-in finds himself on the brink of arrest once again as new evidence emerges, suggesting he threatened a witness through an accomplice and pressured an acquaintance to use marijuana.

On the afternoon of September 21, Channel A reported that Yoo Ah-in had pressured an acquaintance to smoke marijuana and had threatened through an accomplice to "change their statement."

According to the report, the recent arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in includes an added charge of encouraging marijuana use. Investigations revealed that in January, while in the U.S., he pressured an acquaintance, who had no prior drug use experience, to smoke marijuana.

When YouTuber Mr. A filmed Yoo Ah-in and his group smoking marijuana, Yoo Ah-in reportedly said, "Why are you interrupting my free time?" and insisted they smoke.

Prosecutors have secured text messages where Yoo Ah-in's accomplice, identified as Mr. Choi, threatened the YouTuber, urging him to "change his statement from the time of the investigation."

The decision on their arrest will be made tonight.

Earlier in the day, Yoo Ah-in underwent a pre-arrest suspect examination (warrant review) for charges including violation of the Drug Control Act, evidence tampering, and aiding and abetting a fugitive, conducted by Judge Yun Jae-nam of the Seoul Central District Court.

Upon arriving at the court, Yoo Ah-in stated, "I apologize once again for the continuous concern I've caused. I will answer sincerely in court today and will honestly provide all the answers I can." When questioned about 'evidence tampering, marijuana coercion allegations', 'overseas shopping, overseas drugs', he smiled and shook his head.

After about two hours of questioning, as Yoo Ah-in was heading to the escort vehicle, a bouquet thrown by a citizen hit him.

He is currently facing charges of using over eight types of drugs, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine, ketamine, zolpidem, and psychoactive drugs like midazolam and alprazolam, along with one other drug.

In May, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Division applied for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in, but it was dismissed on the grounds that it was "difficult to definitively say there's a risk of flight and evidence tampering."

Subsequently, after three months of supplementary investigations, prosecutors discovered additional allegations that Yoo Ah-in had instructed acquaintances to destroy evidence and pressured his group to use marijuana while in the U.S.
