BLACKPINK's Lisa's 'MONEY' Performance Video Surpasses 900 Million Views
BLACKPINK's Lisa has achieved a new milestone as her dance performance video for 'MONEY' surpasses 900 million views.
According to YG Entertainment on September 19th, Lisa's 'MONEY' Exclusive Performance Video crossed the 900 million view mark around 3:25 AM on that day. Released in September 2021, it took just over two years for the video to join the ranks of videos with over 900 million views, making it the group's eighth video to achieve this feat.
With this, BLACKPINK now boasts a total of eight videos with over 900 million views. Previously, 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' reached 2.1 billion views, 'Kill This Love' 1.8 billion, 'BOOMBAYAH' 1.6 billion, 'As If It's Your Last' 1.3 billion, 'How You Like That' music video 1.2 billion and its dance performance video 1.4 billion, and Jennie's solo track 'SOLO' garnered 950 million views.
Lisa's achievement is particularly noteworthy as it's not an official music video but a dance performance video, solidifying her position as a top global solo artist. Following 'How You Like That', this is the second dance video to achieve 900 million views, and fans are eagerly anticipating her next record-breaking feat.
'MONEY' is characterized by its sophisticated hip-hop sound and swag-filled rap lyrics. As a track from Lisa's debut solo album 'LALISA', it caused an unprecedented surge on major charts worldwide just a month after its release.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK recently concluded their largest K-pop girl group world tour, 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]', with concerts held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 16th and 17th.
