Hwasa Makes a Grand Return with 'I Love My Body' After Joining PSY's P NATION
Singer Hwasa is making a solo comeback after two years.
On September 6, at 6 PM (KST), Hwasa will release her new digital single 'I Love My Body' on various music platforms.
'I Love My Body' marks Hwasa's solo comeback track, nearly two years after her 2021 release 'Guilty Pleasure'. Notably, this is her first release since joining PSY's record label, P NATION, in June. There's heightened interest in her future endeavors as a solo artist, especially now under the guidance of PSY, the head of P NATION.
The new track is a soul-pop genre, blending 70s Motown soul music with a modern 808 bass. The song captivates with its simple yet addictive chorus and a chic, sophisticated beat. The lyrics emphasize the importance of cherishing and loving one's body, a message that resonates with everyone.
Significantly, H1GHR from La Chica, who showcased their talents in Mnet's 'Street Woman Fighter', and King Kinky from 'Street Man Fighter', have participated as performance directors for this track.
Hwasa debuted in 2014 as a member of the group MAMAMOO and began her solo career in 2019 with the single 'Twit'. Her first mini-album 'Maria', released in 2020, achieved the top spot on music charts with its title track, garnering immense love from fans.
Moreover, Hwasa has been actively engaging with fans, recently completing a national tour with senior female solo artists on tvN's 'Singing Wanderers'. There's significant anticipation around the kind of music and performance she will captivate the public with this time.
Meanwhile, Hwasa will kick off her active comeback promotions with the release of 'I Love My Body' at 6 PM on the 6th. Following that, at 7 PM, she will host a YouTube Premium Live Afterparty to interact with her fans.
