BLACKPINK Wraps Up North American Tour, Attracting 1.75 Million Fans: A Journey to Remember
BLACKPINK has successfully concluded their encore performances in four major North American cities and is now heading back to where their grand journey began: Seoul.
On the 26th (local time), BLACKPINK held their encore concert at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, a massive venue that can accommodate around 51,000 attendees. Thanks to the overwhelming support from local fans, the group managed to attract more than double the audience compared to their concert at the Bank of California in LA last November.
Kicking off with the powerful "Pink Venom", BLACKPINK delivered an overwhelming live performance for 115 minutes. They showcased a series of mega-hits, including "Whistle", "Lovesick Girls", and "Shut Down". BLINKs (the fandom name) filled the stadium with their cheers and sing-alongs, responding passionately to every song.
The individual stages, highlighting each member's unique charm, sent the concert's energy soaring. Following Jisoo's "All Eyes On Me", which was first revealed in New Jersey on the 11th (local time) in celebration of BLACKPINK's 7th anniversary, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa also heated up the atmosphere with their impeccable solo performances.
Engaging with the audience until the very end and showcasing their professional stage presence, BLACKPINK expressed, "It's hard to believe this is our last performance in North America. We're grateful to our members for being with us throughout this nearly year-long tour journey. We'll cherish this moment forever in our hearts."
With this, BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up their North American encore tour, attracting around 230,000 fans over five performances in four cities. They made history as the first K-pop girl group to hold two consecutive concerts at MetLife and also set records by performing at Allegiant Stadium, Oracle Park, and Dodger Stadium, becoming the first global girl group to do so.
Meanwhile, after their triumphant North American encore tour, BLACKPINK is set to return to Seoul, where they had announced the start of their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR (BORN PINK)'. On September 16th and 17th, they plan to hold a concert at the Gocheok Dome, marking the grand finale of their world tour, which has attracted approximately 1.75 million fans, setting the record for the largest scale world tour by a K-pop girl group.
