A Billboard No.1 song by BTS member Jimin has been used as a performance track at a Korean Taekwondo championship.
According to a video titled '2023 Seongnam World Taekwondo Hanmadang Day 3 Poomsae Junior 2~3 Finals' uploaded on the official TaekwonTV channel on July 23rd, the junior K-Tigers Taekwondo team used Jimin's 'Set Me Free Pt.2' as their competition song.
Jimin's track harmoniously blended with the K-Tigers' signature disciplined Taekwondo moves, eliciting cheers from the audience.
Netizens who viewed the video commented, "The sharp choreography set to Jimin's song is impressive," "I'm hopeful for the future of our country's Taekwondo," and shared messages of praise and encouragement like "Fighting!"
'Set Me Free Pt.2' is a track from Jimin's solo album 'FACE', which was released on March 24th.
'Set Me Free Pt.2' enjoyed global popularity, topping the iTunes 'Top Songs' charts in 110 countries and regions. It also ranked No.1 on Japan's Oricon 'Weekly Digital Single Ranking' and recorded 30th on the US music magazine Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' for the week of April 1st.
