BTS Jungkook Lauded as the Next Justin Timberlake by 'Seven' Producers
BTS's Jungkook has received high praises from the Grammy-winning producers of 'Seven'. Recently, the renowned American economic magazine, Forbes, released an interview with 'Seven's producers, Andrew Watt and Cirkut. The duo has previously collaborated with pop giants like Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone, Iggy Pop, and Sam Smith.
According to the publication, both were thrilled with the immediate success of 'Seven', which has dominated the prestigious Billboard 'Hot 100' charts and topped major global music platforms for an extended period.
Andrew Watt, after the completion of 'Seven's lyrics and melody, presented it to his team, stating, "If Jungkook sings 'Seven', it will become the most tremendous song in the world." Scott Braun, the founder of Ithaca Holdings acquired by HYBE and representative of HYBE America, mentioned Jungkook's name, subsequently sending the track to the agency.
Although 'Seven' was crafted over at least a year, the decision to choose Jungkook as the vocalist was made swiftly. Andrew Watt confessed, "Jungkook is among the most significant stars I've ever met", acknowledging his global superstar status. He added, "He is overflowing with swagger, exceptionally cool, and courteous."
Watt continued, "Although we couldn't converse much due to the language barrier, we thoroughly connected through music", expressing profound satisfaction working with Jungkook on 'Seven', despite the language challenges.
Cirkut echoed these sentiments, consistently praising Jungkook as "affectionate, immensely talented, and humble".
Andrew Watt, in particular, drew a striking comparison, stating, "Jungkook is very similar to Justin Timberlake post-N Sync", comparing the global popularity and reputation of both boy band members. He continued, "Jungkook is extremely kind, admirable, affectionate, and a tremendous hard worker."
Concluding the interview, Watt remarked, "Jungkook is already a superstar. And now, impressively, he's also a superstar in the U.S." Alongside this, Forbes commented, "With 'Seven' debuting at number one on various charts, Jungkook has not just become a member of the world's biggest band but a 'hitmaker' himself."
Previously, the genius singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, who collaborated with Jungkook on 'Left and Right', hailed him as a "humble genius". He continually expressed admiration for Jungkook in interviews, saying, "His vocals were astoundingly perfect. He's an incredibly talented individual."
