BTS V Dominates Global Charts with Pre-release Track 'Rainy Days'
BTS's V's pre-release track from his solo album has topped the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 70 countries and regions worldwide.
The pre-released track, 'Rainy Days,' from V's solo album 'Layover,' which was announced on August 11, climbed to the number one spot on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 70 countries and regions, including the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, and France, as of 9 a.m. on August 12.
Another pre-released song, 'Love Me Again,' also achieved the top spot on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 35 countries and regions, including Austria, Bulgaria, and Romania. Notably, V managed to dominate multiple iTunes 'Top Songs' charts, securing both the 1st and 2nd positions with 'Rainy Day' and 'Love Me Again,' respectively.
Furthermore, the music videos for 'Love Me Again' and 'Rainy Days' claimed the 1st and 2nd spots respectively on YouTube's worldwide trending. The tracks are receiving a hot response, dominating the 'Rising Music' sections in numerous countries and regions.
The pre-release track 'Rainy Day' is of the Alternative Pop R&B genre, blending a range of ambient white noise with V's voice, amplifying the song's emotional depth. 'Love Me Again' revolves around a 1970s soul sound-centered R&B, highlighting V's smooth yet uniquely rhythmic vocals that are bound to captivate listeners.
In related news, V's first solo album 'Layover' will be released simultaneously worldwide at 1 p.m. (Korean time) on September 8.
