Youngji of KARA Set for Solo Debut this Fall
Heo Youngji, the youngest member of the girl group KARA, has confirmed her foray into a solo singing career.
Based on the research by Edaily on August 11, Youngji is poised to release her solo track and commence promotions this coming September.
This marks a notable event as Youngji's venture into a solo career comes nearly 9 years after her debut in the music industry in 2014, when she joined KARA as a new member. Initially, Youngji had aimed for a summer debut, but the schedule was postponed, allowing fans to see a fresh side of her this fall.
In a fan meeting titled 'YOUNGJI's Bakery' held in both Korea and Japan last June, Youngji had hinted at her solo debut. At the time, she expressed, "Every day is thrilling as I prepare for my solo album," and reassured fans, "You won't be disappointed. I'm preparing very diligently."
Beyond her activities with KARA, Youngji has also showcased her charm as an actress and as a host in variety programs. Although she did release a solo track titled 'Memory Clock' in 2017, she didn't promote it actively. Hence, the upcoming song is decided to be recognized as her official solo debut.
