aespa Shatters Record: Fastest International Group to Dominate Tokyo Dome with 94,000 Fans in Awe
Girl group aespa has set a historic record as the fastest foreign act to headline Japan's prestigious Tokyo Dome in just 2 years and 9 months since their debut, delivering a mesmerizing performance.
On the 5th and 6th of the month, aespa held their 'aespa LIVE TOUR 2023 'SYNK: HYPER LINE' in JAPAN -Special Edition-' at the Tokyo Dome. Not only did this concert sell out completely, but due to explosive local demand, additional seats with restricted views were also opened. Over the two-day concert, they captivated a whopping 94,000 audience members.
Following a series of sold-out concerts in Japanese cities including Osaka, Tokyo, Saitama, and Nagoya from March to May, aespa's tremendous ticket-selling power was further evidenced with this Tokyo Dome performance. Remarkably, these achievements come even before the group's official Japanese debut, underscoring aespa's soaring popularity in the country.
This special edition of the Tokyo Dome concert upgraded the previously held 'SYNK: HYPER LINE' solo concert. The audience was treated to new tracks like 'Spicy', 'Welcome To MY World', and an EDM-arranged version of 'Hold On Tight'. The enhanced performance featured grand-scale LED screens, lifts, moving stages, and vehicles, making for a richer aespa stage experience that left fans enthralled.
Furthermore, Karina's powerful performance in 'Menagerie', NingNing's unique charm in 'Wake up', Winter's cover of BoA's 'Shine We Are!', and a self-composed song 'Keep Goin'' by Giselle, especially written for the Tokyo Dome concert, were among the 28 songs performed over approximately 3 hours, captivating the audience.
After the concert, aespa expressed their heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you for entering aespa's world. We promise to work even harder to continue receiving your love."
Following their successful Asia tour and two Tokyo Dome concerts, aespa will embark on a world tour, starting in LA on August 13th, covering a total of 14 cities across the U.S., South America, and Europe.
