Ha Na Kyung's Fight in Court: Accused of Home Wrecking vs. A's Claim of Business Support in Case of Divorce
Actress Ha Na Kyung fervently defends her innocence after partially losing a lawsuit for infidelity and compensation, prompting a strong rebuttal from the plaintiff, known only as A.
On June18, the Eastern Branch of Busan District Court ordered Ha Na Kyung to pay 15 million won to A, who had filed a lawsuit for infidelity and compensation against her.
After the verdict, Ha Na Kyung lamented, "I've been suffering for a year now. If I stay quiet, many people will see me as the guilty party in this infidelity case. I met a fraudulent man, spent all my money, even loaned millions of won, which I have not fully recovered. I urge you not to believe rumors that I dated him because he was wealthy without seeing any evidence. I am truly aggrieved."
Ha Na Kyung further clarified, "I had no intention of meeting (B), only being used by him. I told A everything in order to sever ties, only to be sued for infidelity and compensation two months later. I disclosed everything thinking we were both victims. Now, they're pinning all the blame on me, branding me as a home wrecker. The verdict is ludicrous, considering the psychological, physical, and financial damage I've endured. Despite the pain and suffering, I've filed an appeal and intend to clear my name to the end."
In response to Ha Na Kyung's claims, A rebutted each point to OSEN. A refuted her claim about "losing all her money due to B" by asserting that all borrowed money had been repaid upon breakup, all received gifts were returned, and it was Ha Na Kyung who was receiving 10 million won per month.
Regarding the claim that "Ha Na Kyung paid for all costs of a trip to Vietnam for business purposes," A argued that while Ha Na Kyung did pay more as she was financially well-off at that time, B also paid for accommodation, entertainment, and driver costs. On her claim about "having no intention of seeing him if he was to get a divorce," A presented evidence of Ha Na Kyung mentioning divorce amid conflicts and pregnancy issues, and even promising business support to B if he divorced and came to her. A also refuted the question, "Did she really ask if A was not going to divorce?" on the day of departure.
A further claimed that the text reply saying, "Thank you for letting me know in detail" was just to collect evidence for the impending lawsuit. A also clarified Ha Na Kyung's claim, "Would I have talked about being sued for infidelity?" by highlighting there is a recorded pledge from Ha Na Kyung to B stating she wouldn't sue for infidelity and that she asked A the same question. Regarding B's alleged violence, A defended that it was just a heated argument, and B has never hit anyone.
Meanwhile, Ha Na Kyung has changed her stage name to So Hye-ri and is currently working as an internet broadcaster. She debuted in 2005 with the MBC drama "Detective Star Soongum" and has starred in films such as "House with a Good View" and "Wrestling."
