IVE's Jang Wonyoung's Trip to ER Revealed: 'Returned After 7 Stitches, Showing No Signs of Struggle'
The fighting spirit of IVE's Jang Wonyoung, overcoming an injury, has belatedly come to light.
Son Seunghee, the director of IVE's 'I AM' music video, was a guest on MBC FM4U's 'GOT7 Youngjae's Close Friend' aired on the 12th.
On this day, director Son expressed his gratitude, particularly to IVE member Jang Wonyoung. He disclosed the reason stating, "It's not been officially mentioned, but Wonyoung injured her arm while dancing on the set and needed 7 stitches. I was shocked; it was the first time something like this happened on set."
The director continued, "With about two episodes' worth of continuity left, I thought we wouldn't be able to shoot anymore because of her injury. However, she came back straight from the emergency room after getting stitches two days in a row and finished all her scenes. What was really impressive was that she showed no signs of struggle on set. At her age, I would have definitely shown it."
He also confessed, "The choreography for 'I AM' requires a lot of arm movement. While monitoring on set, I could almost feel her pain. It hurt just watching her perform the powerful choreography."
He added, "But once the filming started, she didn't show any pain and monitored her performance meticulously. This left a deep impression on me after the shoot." He also mentioned, "There were many scenes that people praised, which would not have been possible if Wonyoung hadn't managed to perform them after her injury."
