Choi Jin Hyun Is A Unique Zombie In The First Poster For 'Zombie Detective'
KBS 2TV's new comedy-drama 'Zombie Detective' (LT) has released its striking and fearsome first poster.
'Zombie Detective' shares a journey of a zombie in his second year of rebirth, which, after becoming a detective, desperately searched for the about his past, wrote Soompi. Playing the role of a zombie named Kim Moo Young is Choi Jin Hyuk, who struggles to adapt to his new life and co-exist with humans. Opposite to the typical zombie seen in more conventional dramas and films, Kim Moo Young is a very relatable zombie who hilariously boasts for his masculine charm.
Earlier on August 6, the drama's first poster was released, showing how different Choi Jin Hyuk's character from the average zombies. Unlike other zombies depicted as mindless and carnivorous, Kim Moo Young is sharp and intelligent, as revealed on the alertness of his pointed look.
Meanwhile, the battered and lonely Kim Moo Young cannot feel a bit of pain in his pure zombie form: despite the injuries, he is having. He still appears to be calm and unbothered even with the gaping hole on his torso through which viewers can see the scenery behind him.
Kim Moo Young swears to deliver more thrills and excitement in his action scenes than his previous typical crime drama leads, considering being a detective who cannot die regardless of how badly injured he is in the new series.
Choi Jin Hyuk On His Role As Kim Mo Young
Choi Jin Hyuk has revealed that he enjoys playing his role. Even during their first script-reading, where he immersed in his new character, he felt the excitement to act the figure on the camera because he found it quite far from the action drama that he's been doing.
He also shared that he thought that the story would be hard to translate into a drama, but he found out that it is possible mainly when he acts out the role appropriately.
The premiere of 'Zombie Detective' is currently scheduled later this year.
