TWICE Triumphs in Fifth World Tour, Continuing to Break Records 9 Years After Debut
The sensational K-pop girl group TWICE has just concluded their North American leg of their fifth world tour, leaving behind an array of unprecedented records.
On July 9th (local time), TWICE successfully wrapped up their 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE'' at the Truist Park in Atlanta, USA. Their North American tour, which started on June 10th in Los Angeles at the SoFi Stadium, extended over 9 regions for a total of 13 performances.
#First: Historic entry into LA's SoFi Stadium & NY's MetLife Stadium by a Global Female Group - Sold Out
The announcement of this North American tour sparked widespread excitement due to the notable expansion of the concert venues from their previous tour. The world's first-ever female group to perform in the 'most expensive stadium in the world' - LA's SoFi Stadium and the equally impressive MetLife Stadium in New York, resulted in global recognition.
These venues are over four times larger than the Kia Forum, where TWICE first debuted their solo performance in the US. They exceeded the 44,000 audiences of the BMO Stadium (Bank of California Stadium) encore concert in May 2022, which marked the 'first-ever' entry of a K-pop girl group into a North American stadium. TWICE's soaring popularity in the region was clearly exhibited.
#Most: A Record-Breaking 250,000 Total Audience, Achieving Their 'Largest' North American Tour Attendance
With the rapid sell-out of concert tickets in both LA and New York stadiums, TWICE set an impressive record by selling out a total of 100,000 seats in both venues. Tickets for performances in Oakland, Seattle, Houston, Chicago, and Toronto in Canada were also completely sold out, proving the explosive support for TWICE.
In total, the 13 performances across 9 North American regions attracted a whopping 250,000 fans, setting the record for the highest attendance in TWICE's history for a North American tour.
#Best: Global Recognition as the 'Top-tier Global Girl Group', "TWICE = K-pop Queens"
International media also paid attention to TWICE's record-breaking North American tour. Grammy Magazine applauded TWICE's readiness to accept any challenge and praised their chemistry and energy that captivated all audiences. Variety Magazine complimented TWICE's signature music, powerful choreography, and sweet lyrics that led the group through their fifth world tour.
TWICE also appeared on the 'Citi Concert Series on TODAY' of NBC's representative morning show, 'NBC's TODAY', where they were enthusiastically received at the landmark Rockefeller Center Plaza in New York. NBC's TODAY anchor, Craig Melvin, and the official SNS of the broadcasting company introduced TWICE as the "history-making Queens of K-pop", expressing their unlimited praise and warm hospitality.
After successfully completing the North American performances as part of their fifth world tour, TWICE is set to continue the tour fever in Europe and Asia. They will resume the tour in Singapore on September 2nd and 3rd, followed by performances in London, Paris, Berlin, Bangkok, Bulacan, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
