MAMAMOO's Hwasa has signed an exclusive contract with P Nation at Psy's "Summer Swag 2023."

"Summer Swag 2023", an event hosted by Psy, took place at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil, Songpa District, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 30th.

During the event, Psy, who runs the small music company P Nation, informed the audience that he had an important contract matter at hand, asking for their understanding as he intended to draw up the contract. Psy, fully aware that such an activity during a concert was somewhat unconventional, humorously suggested that it might be a world-first occurrence and proceeded to sign the contract, drawing significant attention.

Following this, Hwasa, who was known to be in discussions for an exclusive contract with P Nation, appeared on stage. It turned out that Hwasa was the protagonist of the contract that Psy had prepared. Together with Psy, Hwasa carried out a performance of signing the contract on a blue table imprinted with the P Nation logo.

After presenting her performance of 'Maria', Hwasa announced that she had just become a member of the P Nation family a few minutes ago and that this was not a performance but a reality. She explained that she had been reviewing the contract, which had just been finalized earlier that day.

Having shared this meaningful moment with the audience, she continued with performances of hit MAMAMOO songs including 'Twit'.

However, Hwasa made no mention of the rumors of her love affair with a businessman 12 years her senior. Earlier in the day, Sports Seoul reported that Hwasa had been in a relationship with a businessman, identified only as Mr. A, for five years, with Hwasa being the one to initially pursue the relationship.

Hwasa, who debuted in 2014 with MAMAMOO, has been loved for hit songs such as 'Um Oh Ah Yeh', 'You're the Best', 'Decalcomanie', 'Yes I Am', and 'Egotistic'. In 2019, she made her solo debut with the single 'Twit', and solidified her position as a female solo artist by releasing songs such as 'Maria' and 'I'm a light'.
