BTS Jungkook Promises a Solo Digital Single and Teases a Future Album on Weverse Live
BTS member Jungkook has announced plans to release a solo digital single, followed by an album.
BTS' label, Big Hit Music, announced on the global fandom platform Weverse on the 30th, "We are here to announce the release of Jungkook's solo digital single 'Seven'. 'Seven' is a summer song that fully displays Jungkook's charm, and we hope it will add joy to your summer." They announced that Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven' will be released on July 14th.
At 12:30 AM on the 30th, Jungkook started a Weverse live stream. He said, "You must have heard the news just now. I'll be coming with a great song on July 14th. It's a very good song. I plan to greet you with a digital single."
He added, "I hope you'll understand that I'm also preparing an album, even though nothing has been finalized. First, I want to reach out with a digital single. Please look forward to it. It's a song that fits well with the season."
Continuing, he said, "I think I've listened to the song a lot while practicing and recording. It's really good. I don't get tired of it. I think you'll really like it. I can't give detailed information, but anyway, I think you'll like it."
Jungkook also said, "First, I'll start with a single and prepare to show the direction and color of music I want to do, and my voice that I haven't been able to show you so far. Don't be too disappointed because it's just a single, I'm also preparing an album. I'm very excited."
Regarding this, Jungkook said, "In a way, it's a new challenge for me. It seems like it's going to be fun. I worked on the project alone and shot the MV, and the process was really fun. I don't know if I should call it a new goal consciousness, but anyway, I have a new goal. I want to do better and be cooler. I've been resting a lot. I feel sorry for ARMY. Resting was too comfortable and good."
He continued, "There's absolutely no way to separate myself as a person, but the environment has been separated at a certain point. I had a lot of personal time, and it was comfortable and good. Rather than being lazy, I enjoyed my personal time."
He explained the reason for releasing the digital single, "I kept enjoying my own time, and then I had a meeting with PD Bang Si-hyuk. I heard a song and said, 'I really want to do this,' and immediately proceeded with it."
Continuing, he said, "While progressing and having meetings, I thought I should live hard again. I will live hard in the future and will do my best to show you a wonderful image starting with the single."
After revealing his plans for the digital single on Weverse Live, Jungkook spent over an hour doing various exercises at home, from pull-ups to push-ups and dumbbell exercises, showing his determination for the digital single release and subsequent activities.
Jungkook's Weverse Live video was watched by over 12.81 million concurrent viewers, proving the ongoing love for BTS from ARMYs.
