OH MY GIRL to Make Complete Comeback by End of July, Continuing Their 'Unbeaten Summer' Streak
K-pop group OH MY GIRL has confirmed their full group comeback by the end of July.
On the 29th, their agency WM Entertainment announced, "OH MY GIRL is planning to release a new album by the end of July." The anticipation is high as this comeback comes approximately one year and four months after their last release, the second full-length album "Real Love," in March of the previous year.
In particular, OH MY GIRL has proven their exceptional popularity with their unique concept featuring bright, cheerful, and refreshing energy. Their previous works "Nonstop," "Dolphin," and "Dun Dun Dance" each surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, achieving platinum certification on the streaming charts three times in a row. The group has been highly loved in the summer season, and thus the expectation for their summer activities is higher than ever.
With their release of "Real Love" last year, OH MY GIRL transitioned from a 'developing girl group' to a 'complete girl group,' capturing a more mature musical world. As it was their first regular album in about three years, they attempted a variety of styles, demonstrating their growth and earning fervent support from music fans.
Upon release, they continued their record march, topping domestic major music sites, surpassing ten million views on their music video within a day of its release, and winning first place on music shows. Furthermore, they achieved excellent results on overseas charts, ranking at the top of the iTunes K-Pop album chart in 15 countries and regions, including four where they ranked first, and even ranking at the top of the overall album chart in nine countries and regions.
OH MY GIRL, who confirmed their comeback at the end of July, is currently gearing up for their new album preparations.
