Former AOA Member Mina Reassures Fans Of Her Well-Being And Mental Health
Former AOA member Mina updated her fans about her health after she posted on social media accounts with her arm in stitches after attempting to inflict self-harm.
Mina shared an update with fans through an Instagram post, talking about her current state after the incident when she attempted suicide. Mina assured fans she is now recovering and has been doing well in the past days.
Mina addressed that she is walking on a flowery road and plans to communicate with fans often soon. The former AOA member added that she is receiving treatment, which after completing, she can go back to being busy at work and do the things she loves, such as acting.
In July, Mina wrote a series of posts detailing how she was treated and bullied by her former fellow AOA member Jimin within the years they have work together. On August 6, Mina posted a photo of her wrist being stitched with a revelation on why she inflicted self-harm. (the incident happened a month before, and she is perfectly fine today.)
Mina stated on her post that after an exchange KakaoTalk messages with an FNC employee, the singer was so angered that she decided to cut her wrist and let it all end. However, she then realizes that ending her life would bring a significant burden to her family, friends, and fans, bringing her back to her senses.
After the Kakaotalk exchange, Mina’s current manager from her agency quickly came to her house and saw her bleeding. The manager rushed the singer to the nearest university hospital. Her manager stayed all night to see her get better after the operation.
Mina stated that she was disappointed about the whole AOA issue because no one was willing to step up for her against Jimin, which she continued to bully her for 11 years they have been in AOA. Their agency at the time also didn’t take her side in the pressing issue.
