UK music magazine NME has sung praises for fromis_9's (Roh Ji-sun, Song Ha-young, Lee Sae-rom, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, Park Ji-won, Lee Seo-yeon and Baek Ji-heon) first studio album, 'Unlock My World'.

NME recently published a detailed review article for fromis_9's first studio album titled 'fromis_9 'Unlock My World' review: a treasure trove of pop gems', exploring the group's growth and transformation.

NME noted, "While many K-pop artists focus on chasing trends and fail to demonstrate natural growth, fromis_9's first studio album is an exception". Specifically, regarding the title track '#menow', NME explained, "It appropriately explores the group's identity while revealing a more mature and inner aspect of the group".

NME also spotlighted every track in the album, noting the group's expanded musical spectrum. The first track 'Attitude' is a "thrilling experience", while 'What I Want' is "as satisfying as the title track", according to NME.

Indeed, fromis_9 invested a lot in this first full album. The album encapsulates their determination to unlock their world and face a wider universe, taking courageous challenges rather than safe routes. Members participated in writing and composing five of the ten tracks in the album, adding more authenticity.

fromis_9's refreshing charm still shone in their performances. Numerous K-pop stars such as Uhm Jung-hwa, Super Junior Shindong, NU'EST Ren, MONSTA X Hyungwon, NCT Taeyong, Stray Kids Changbin, ATEEZ San and Jongho, (G)I-DLE Miyeon, and Le Sera's Hong Eun-chae participated in the '#menow' dance challenge on TikTok, garnering attention.

fromis_9's unique activities fitting for the 'Summer Queens' delighted fans. In addition to their album activities, fromis_9 excelled as daily show hosts for CJ Onstyle's representative fashion program 'Hit The Style' vacation special, demonstrating their power by selling out the main color of the carrier, the product being sold. Lee Sae-rom, Roh Ji-sun, and Lee Na-gyung acted as special weathercasters on YTN, creating a huge buzz on social media.

The highlight was their performance on the '2023 Weverse Con Festival' stage held at the Seoul Olympic Park KSPO DOME on the 10th. fromis_9 made the audience's hearts race with their non-stop performance of six songs.

Meanwhile, fromis_9 wrapped up the activities for their first studio album 'Unlock My World' with their performance on SBS 'Inkigayo' broadcasted yesterday (25th). Their solo pop-up store at La Casa Rosa in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which was successfully run, also closed the same day.
