K-Pop's Summer Comeback Rush: Teen Top, NewJeans, EXO, and N-DREAM Make Waves in July
The summer comeback season is always a bustling time in the K-pop industry. As we prepare for the scorching heat, the comeback schedule for July is being unveiled with popular artists, promising an intense and hot summer in the music scene.
Teen Top will be the first to start the July comeback relay. They will make a full-group comeback with their special album 'TEEN TOP [4SHO]' on July 4th, after a three-year hiatus due to members' individual activities and military service. The group, which has been summoned back into the spotlight through MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo,' is planning to express their unchanged love and appreciation to their fans with this album.
Newzins has confirmed their comeback on July 21st and will pre-release a track from their second mini-album 'Get Up' on the 7th. Anticipation is high as Newzins, who gained attention through their debut songs 'Attention,' 'Hypeboy,' 'Ditto,' and 'OMG,' prepares to release a total of six new tracks.
On July 10th, '3rd Gen Idol' representative EXO will be back after a long wait of three years and eight months with their 7th full album 'EXIST.' This is their first regular album since 'OBSESSION' in November 2019. Despite conflicts over exclusive contracts and settlement issues, the members, except for Kai, are ready to prove their enduring charisma.
Also on July 10th, rookie group ZeroBaseOne, who were touted as representative '5th Gen Idols,' will officially debut with their album 'YOUTH IN THE SHADE.' Formed through the Mnet show 'Boys Planet,' the group has been a hot topic since their surprise debut album spoiler at 'KCON Japan 2023.' Their debut is especially awaited amid the intense competition among 2023's rookie boy groups.
The comeback relay continues three days later. On July 11th, group NMIXX returns with their third single 'A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream.' This comeback marks their first summer release since their debut, and fans are eager to see the new musical world they will show after the success of 'Love Me Like This.'
On July 17th, NCT Dream will make a comeback with their third full album 'ISTJ.' Their pre-release song 'Broken Melodies,' which was released on the 19th, has already proven the group's fandom power by hitting the top of the music charts.
The grand finale of the July comeback rush will be ITZY on July 31st. They will come back with their new album 'KILL MY DOUBT,' their first new release in seven months since their 6th mini album 'CHESSY.' Everyone is keen to see the new musical world they will present and the scores they will write domestically and internationally.
Big names whose comeback dates are yet to be confirmed are also on standby. BTS member Jungkook is highly likely to release his solo album in July, and representative '4th Gen Idol' TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) also officially announced they are preparing for a July comeback. Sandara Park is also set to return with a solo album after six years since 2NE1's disbandment, and co-ed group Koyote has officially announced their July comeback.
