Park Na-rae and Sung Hoon Take Legal Action Over Unfounded Harassment Rumors
It's a line crossed too far. The reason Park Na-rae and Sung Hoon have decided to take uncompromising legal action against their trolls is exactly that.
Last month, rumors about Sung Hoon and Park Narae spread through online communities, some of which shockingly included hard-to-repeat sexual harassment allegations. In response, the pair immediately took action, asserting that "the rumors currently spreading through some online communities and SNS are clearly false."
The response didn't stop at a mere warning. Both parties filed a complaint on charges of violating the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation) and spreading false facts against those propagating the malicious rumors. They pledged to closely monitor and track the IPs of the spreaders who blindly create and disseminate such gossip, promising a firm response without leniency or agreement.
Sung Hoon and Park Narae showcased a charming chemistry on the MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone.' Some fans felt a 'flirty' vibe between the pair, while others sensed a sibling-like charm. While the duo appreciated the varied perspectives of their fans, they couldn't let the absurd harassment rumors slide.
Sung Hoon's side emphasized, "From this point forward, our company will hold those responsible who post and spread any false facts online without fact-checking." Park Narae's side also confirmed on the 14th that they "filed a complaint on charges of defamation and spreading false facts."
