KARA Honors Late Member Goo Hara by Placing Latest Award Trophies in Memorial: 'Goo Hara is Forever in Our Hearts'
Members of the K-pop group KARA recently visited the memorial for the late Goo Hara, bringing their most recent awards as a tribute.
On June 6th, a post titled "KARA leaves all trophies from their latest album activities at Goo Hara's memorial" surfaced on an online community forum.
The post included a picture showing the Seoul Music Awards Special Prize and the 1st place trophy from KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' placed at Goo Hara's memorial, along with a slogan prepared by fans. The slogan read, "Even as time passes, we will be together forever." Apart from this, Kang Jiyoung and Heo Youngji also penned heartfelt letters dedicated to Goo Hara, expressing their love and sentiments towards their late bandmate.
Earlier, Park Gyuri celebrated KARA's 16th anniversary by expressing gratitude towards their fans, stating, "To the Kamilia, my people who allow us to exist, I love you beyond what you can imagine. Thank you always." She also revealed a fan-art that included the late Goo Hara, showcasing her enduring affection for her fellow group member.
Goo Hara joined KARA in 2008 and was greatly loved for her performances in title songs such as 'Pretty Girl', 'Honey', and 'Mamma Mia'. She also skyrocketed to fame as a Hallyu star in Japan. Unfortunately, Goo Hara was found deceased at her home in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in November 2019. She was 28 years old.
KARA, to which the deceased belonged, reunited as a complete group in November last year after seven years and marked their 15th debut anniversary by releasing the album 'Move Again'. Through their music video for the title song 'When I Move', KARA made a point to leave a space for Goo Hara, repeatedly stating on stage that "KARA is a six-member group", showing their enduring longing for their departed member.
