Park Bo Young, Park Seo Joon, And Lee Gyung Hun Are Set To Star A Dark Sci-Fi Film
On August 4, Soompi reported that Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and Lee Byung Hun might be uniting in a new film, 'Concrete Utopia.' Industry representatives shared that director Un Tae Hwa will helm the original movie.
BH Entertainment commented in response to the reports that Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo You are in conversation with the production team and are positively considering the offer to star in Director Um Tae Hwa's new film.
The dark sci-fi film 'Concrete Utopia' is Um Tae Hwa's first project in four years since the success of 'Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned.' The movie will deliver a story of the survivors in a ruined city after a massive earthquake where the unfortunate event destroyed all the concretes of the town.
Meanwhile, after the premature news regarding the movie casting, the production team finally announced the leading actors' official lineup.
Lotte Entertainment confirmed that Park Seo Joon, Park Boo Young, and Lee Byung Hun would star 'Concrete Utopia.'
Lee Byung Hun will take the role of a leader named Young Tak, who works to protect Hwang Goong Apartment from the outsiders. Park Seo Joon will also play the role of a salaryman named Min Sung, who gets chosen to assist Young Tak and becomes increasingly bold as crises arise.
Park Bo Young will play as Min Sung's wife, Myung Hwa, a former nurse with a warm character who takes care of those who are hurt in the city's dangerous situations.
Park Bo Young's Return To The Big Screen
Director Un Tae Hwa's 'Concrete Utopia' marks Park Bo Young's first big-screen production two years since her last film and her first project under a new agency. The actress was dubbed as "Korea's Little Sister" after her successful film in 2008 Scandal Makers.
Park Seo Joon's Busy Schedule
The 31-year-old star is keeping himself busy after signing the new film. Seo Joon has recently wrapped his stellar performance in TV series Itaewon Class and is currently in a neck-deep shooting for Lee Byeong Heon's Dream.
The actor rose to fame after superb portrayals in TV series, Kill Me, Heal Me, She Was Pretty, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, Fight For My Way, and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim.
He also made exemplary performance in movies, Chronicles of Evil, Midnight Runners, and Divine Fury.
