Lim Young-woong's Genuine Love for His 190,000-Strong 'Hero Era' Fanbase
Lim Young-woong's affection for his fans, known as 'Age of Hero,' is undeniable. On June 2, an episode of KBS 1TV's 'News9' spotlighted Lim Young-woong's visit to seasoned 21-year veteran reporter and anchor Lee So-jung.
On that day, Lim Young-woong candidly unveiled the charm of 'the average 30-something Lim Young-woong from South Korea,' rather than 'the singer Lim Young-woong.' It all starts with his signature greeting, 'Geon-hang,' a shortened form of 'Be healthy and happy.' There is even a gesture accompanying it-forming a 'ㄱ' with one hand, symbolizing 'Geon-hang.'
Lim Young-woong's appearance on 'News9' is connected to 'My Little Hero.' Lim Young-woong has been appearing on KBS 2TV's 'My Little Hero,' which premiered on April 27th. The show, his solo variety program, candidly depicts Lim Young-woong's straightforward LA travelogue, introducing both the artist and the man, Lim Young-woong, to the public. It scored a viewership rating of 6.2% during its premiere, proving 'Lim Young-woong Power.'
The reason Lim Young-woong decided to appear on 'My Little Hero' stems from his extraordinary love for his fans. Lim Young-woong is currently receiving endless support from his fan club, 'Hero Era,' which boasts over 190,000 members, earning him immense popularity. Lim Young-woong also always feels grateful for this love. "(When I think of 'Hero Era'), I get goosebumps," he confessed, "Facing these situations always feels like a dream. I sometimes forget because it's something inconceivable to me, who lives an ordinary life. I often think, 'Is that really me? It doesn't feel like it's me.' 'Hero Era' has enabled me to live my life, achieve my dreams, and challenge my goals. 'Hero Era' is my everything."
Especially, Lim Young-woong said, "There's a saying, 'If you wish for something desperately, the whole universe helps you.'
