BTS Suga and Pop Star Halsey to Unveil 'Diablo IV' Theme Song 'Lilith' on the 5th
BTS member Suga and pop star Halsey have collaborated on a theme song for Diablo.
Blizzard Entertainment announced on the 2nd, "The official music video for 'Lilith,' a Diablo IV theme song created by Halsey and Suga, will be released on the 5th (based on U.S. local time)."
A 20-second preview of the music video was initially revealed at the Diablo IV launch event held at Vibiana, a cathedral located in downtown Los Angeles, on the 31st. Several artists who have collaborated with Diablo IV, including RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Gottmik, special guest rapper Offset, singer Tinashe, Stranger Things actor David Harbour, and actor/gamer Cleo Thomas, participated in the event. The event lit up the night with fiery passion to DJ Zedd's set, amidst visuals of the theme projected on the interior walls of the cathedral.
In the sneak peek of the music video, Halsey portrays Lilith, the mother of the Sanctuary and a central character in Diablo IV, drawing the audience into a dark and eerie world.
Rod Fergusson, the General Manager of Diablo, expressed, "There's so much to celebrate, from the amazing work of the Diablo IV team to Halsey's new Diablo IV theme song, and the players getting their first exposure to the overall direction of Diablo IV. This is the result of years of effort, and we're delighted that players will soon be able to jump into the Sanctuary with us and become part of the world of the Sanctuary."
In December 2022, Halsey heated up the stage at The Game Awards, where the June 6, 2023 release of Diablo IV, the fourth installment in the Diablo series, was first announced. Halsey performed her song 'Lilith' at the event.
