HYBE Joins Hands with JTBC to Launch New Girl Group Survival Show 'R U Next?' - Premieres June 30
HYBE Labels, led by Bang Si-Hyuk, is set to launch a new girl group.
JTBC and Be:Lift Lab announced on June 1 (KST), "We've begun filming for the new survival program 'R U Next?' (produced by Studio ZAM/Mushroom Company)."
'R U Next?' is a program designed to determine the final members of the next-generation global girl group from HYBE and CJ ENM's JV label, Be:Lift Lab. The broadcast is set to begin on June 30th. A total of 10 episodes have been confirmed, airing every Friday night at 8:50.
Aspiring debutantes will undergo training within a systematic curriculum, passing through various survival checkpoints to prove their potential and star quality.
The production team explained, "There will be a total of seven rounds of competition focusing on potential, expressiveness, genre adaptability, professionalism, uniqueness, creativity, and star quality."
They further added, "Despite the inevitable fierce competition, we'll focus on the trainees' stories and relationships, aiming to convey a healthy image. Please watch how HYBE's next girl group is formed."
Following the establishment of the joint venture label Be:Lift Lab with CJ ENM, HYBE debuted ENHYPEN through the audition program 'I-LAND.'
HYBE and JTBC explained, "'R U Next?' is an entirely different project from 'I-LAND.' According to HYBE's multi-label strategy, it's the final hurdle for girl group trainees, with the originality and autonomy of Be:Lift Lab set to be highlighted even more."
