TRENDZ Voices Admiration for BTS's RM: 'We Dream of Sharing a Conversation'
K-pop group TRENDZ has openly shared their ambitions and respect for their industry seniors.
The seven-member group TRENDZ (Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Hankook, ra.L, Eunil, and Yechan) returned in March with their second single 'BLUE SET CHAPTER. NEW DAYZ', and have since been showing impressive growth.
In particular, there's been a surge in international performance requests for TRENDZ, drawing even more attention to their career trajectory. The members' goals in response to this attention are also distinctive.
Here's the Q&A with TRENDZ:
Q. You've received a lot of love and reached career highs with 'NEW DAYZ'. Do you feel the increase in your overseas popularity?
We're really happy, but we don't think it's time to celebrate yet. We want to continue to grow and become a team that others can look up to. We've recently added overseas schedules in countries like Japan and Indonesia, and we're always grateful in the process of preparing for them.
Q. We've heard that you're receiving numerous requests for overseas performances. How do you feel about that?
We're extremely grateful and it doesn't feel real. It makes us want to do better, and we want to seize all the upcoming opportunities to show our growth. We want to return the favor for all the attention we've been receiving.
Q. If there's a stage overseas you want to perform on and a title you'd like to achieve, what would it be?
We'd love to go wherever our fans are. Also, it's a dream of ours to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Furthermore, we'd like to earn titles like 'Rising Rookie Idol of the Year', 'Multi-talented Idol', and 'Performance Idol', that signify TRENDZ as a cool team capable of handling anything.
Q. Who do you admire among the groups that have elevated the status of K-POP?
We admire BTS's RM. As fellow idols, we'd love to meet him and have a meaningful conversation. We also look up to SEVENTEEN and want to learn a lot from them in terms of music and performance. We hope to remain a great team for a long time, just like our seniors.
Q. What are your future goals?
With 'NEW DAYZ', we've shown a new side of us that's different from our previous intense image. We're thankful for the interest in this new version of TRENDZ. Our goal moving forward is to establish our own unique musicality and color, exploring diverse concepts to become an irreplaceable group.
