BTS Jimin Tops Poll as the Korean Male Star Fans Most Want in a Fantasy Action Blockbuster
BTS's Jimin has claimed the number one spot as the Korean male celebrity fans most want to see in a special appearance in a fantasy action blockbuster film.
Jimin came first in a survey conducted by the Japanese media outlet 'Danmee' from May 12th to May 19th, titled 'Which Korean male star would you like to see in a special appearance in "Saint Seiya"?'
'Saint Seiya: The Beginning', based on the same-name manga, is a fantasy action blockbuster. With voices already calling for sequels, the media outlet ran a poll pointing to the possibility of casting globally active Korean male celebrities, and Jimin captured 1835 votes, winning first place with 53.75% of the vote.
In the announcement of the first place winner, the outlet noted that "Jimin is known to have high physical abilities, having learned kendo, taekwondo, and hapkido from a young age," drawing particular attention to Jimin's 8-year experience in kendo. It also stated, "He is known for his strong will, to the point of immersing himself in practice until he reaches perfection. This high level of physical ability and strength of will can clearly be seen utilized in his performances," introducing his taekwondo performance at the 2014 awards ceremony.
Meanwhile, Jimin continues to engage with fans through his music, following the inclusion of his produced song 'Friends' in the soundtrack of Marvel's 'Eternals', and his involvement in the main theme song 'Angel Pt.1' for the Hollywood action blockbuster 'Fast & Furious: Ride or Die'.
