Spectacular Display of Unique Colors by Six Teams on 'K-909': From ENHYPEN to MONSTA X's Joohoney
The renowned music showcase of JTBC, 'K-909', blew away the impending summer heat with a 60-minute stage filled with sizzling passion.
In the 14th episode of 'K-909' aired on May 27, MC BoA led a passionate line-up of six unique teams: ENHYPEN, MONSTA X's Jooheon (Joohoney), La Poem, Dreamcatcher, KARD, and next-generation stars EPEX. Each team brought its distinctive live performances and explosive stage presence, making the episode an unforgettable spectacle.
Kicking off the show was KARD, returning with their sixth mini album. Their title track 'ICKY' featured an intense atmosphere representing their fiery passion for each other, showcasing an enchanting charm. Following them was Dreamcatcher with their title track 'BONVOYAGE' from their eighth mini album 'Apocalypse: From Us,' presenting a powerful yet tender atmosphere, wrapping up their unique worldview with finesse.
MC BoA, who got to meet all 11 members of KARD and Dreamcatcher, was in awe and said it was the largest number of guests she has ever hosted. Both KARD and Dreamcatcher confessed to being long-time fans of the K-pop legend MC BoA, making the moment feel like an impromptu fan meeting. This heartwarming atmosphere was further fuelled by nostalgic performances and touching revelations from the artists.
The "vocal Avengers" La Poem also performed a spellbinding rendition of 'My Heart Will Go On,' the iconic 'Titanic' O.S.T, for the first time on TV. As the winning team of the JTBC's popular show 'Phantom Singer Season 3,' they captivated audiences with their extraordinary stage prowess.
MONSTA X's Jooheon, marking his debut as a solo artist after eight years, unveiled his title track 'FREEDOM' in a performance that started with a melodious vocal line and ended with dynamic choreography. His versatility shone as he presented an array of talents, from revealing his album preparation process to showing off his signature aegyo, heating up the studio with his charm.
Double million-seller ENHYPEN then closed the show with a powerful performance of their mini 4th album's title track 'Bite Me,' displaying a strong dark black charm. The boy band even presented a funky live band version of 'Attention, Please!' on 'K-909' for the first time, demonstrating their dominance in the K-pop industry.
Next-generation K-pop group EPEX, the stars of the 14th episode, presented B1A4's 'Goodnight' for the first time on air. Additionally, in the '99-Second Global Chart' segment, Stacey's Sieun and Jae introduced live performances of 'Cupid' by Fifty Fifty, 'Spicy' by aespa, 'KNOCK' by Lee Chae Yeon, and 'LOVE DIVE' by IVE.
