Lim Young-woong Tops May's Singer Brand Reputation Ranking
"Powerful Fandom" Singer Lim Young-woong has ascended to the top spot in the singer brand reputation ranking for May, illuminating his 'number one' popularity.
According to the big data analysis results for May 2023 released by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute on May 27, Lim Young-woong came in first place. BTS followed in second place and Seventeen ranked third.
Lim Young-woong's brand ranked first with a participation score of 2,167,652, media score of 2,804,753, communication score of 2,271,854, and community score of 2,099,542, resulting in a total brand reputation score of 9,343,800. This represents a 16.63% increase compared to the April brand reputation score of 8,011,212.
Director Gu Chang-hwan of the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute stated, "Lim Young-woong's brand, which has built a strong fandom community, ranked first. The BTS brand, which communicates with fans through individual activities, ranked second, and the Seventeen brand, which presented powerful content, ranked third. The BLACKPINK brand, which has become a global icon through global activities, ranked fourth, and the NU'EST brand, leading the hip trend, recorded fifth."
The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 123,996,929 pieces of big data for singer brands from April 27, 2023 to May 27, 2023, conducting brand participation, media, communication, and community analysis of consumers. Compared to the 125,572,890 pieces of big data for singer brands in April, there was a decrease of 1.26%.
The singer brand reputation index is a metric analyzed by extracting big data of singer brands that are loved by consumers, conducting consumer behavior analysis, classifying into participation value, communication value, media value, community value, and analyzing the positive-negative ratio and reputation analysis algorithm. Through brand reputation analysis, it is possible to find out who, where, how, how much, and why they are talking about the brand.
The top 30 rankings for the singer brand reputation in May 2023 were analyzed as follows: Lim Young-woong, BTS, Seventeen, BLACKPINK, NU'EST, IVE, aespa, FIFTYFIFTY, Le Serafim, IU, Lee Chan-won, Kim Ho-joong, Young Tak, (G)I-DLE, Na Hoon-a, Psy, Lee Young-ji, Song Ga-in, NCT, Cho Yong-pil, Jung Dong-won, Kang Daniel, Taeyeon, Jang Min-ho, TWICE, EXO, Kim Hee-jae, Girls' Generation, Jay Park, OH MY GIRL.
The BTS brand (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) ranked second with a participation score of 703,458, media score of 2,076,338, communication score of 2,371,399, and community score of 2,995,348, resulting in a total brand reputation score of 8,146,544. This represents a 7.30% decrease compared to the April brand reputation score of 8,788,308.
Seventeen, comprised of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino, ranked third with a participation score of 1,316,421, media score of 2,401,024, communication score of 1,229,048, and a community score of 1,219,618. This resulted in a total brand reputation score of 6,166,110, which is a 134.78% increase compared to their April brand reputation score of 2,626,339.
In fourth place is BLACKPINK, made up of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Their brand reputation score was analyzed as 5,267,916 with a participation score of 443,455, media score of 1,457,152, communication score of 1,514,478, and a community score of 1,852,831. This is a 33.64% decrease from their April brand reputation score of 7,938,100.
NU'EST, consisting of Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein, claimed the fifth spot. Their brand's reputation score was calculated as 5,177,062, with a participation score of 918,897, media score of 1,804,700, communication score of 1,397,224, and a community score of 1,056,240. This represents a 43.63% decrease compared to their April brand reputation score of 9,184,363.
The May 2023 singer brand reputation survey was conducted based on big data analysis of brands including Lim Young-woong, BTS, Seventeen, BLACKPINK, NU'EST, IVE, aespa, FIFTYFIFTY, Le Serafim, IU, Lee Chan-won, Kim Ho-joong, Young Tak, (G)I-DLE, Na Hoon-a, Psy, Lee Young-ji, Song Ga-in, NCT, Cho Yong-pil, Jung Dong-won, Kang Daniel, Taeyeon, Jang Min-ho, TWICE, EXO, Kim Hee-jae, Girls' Generation, Jay Park, OH MY GIRL, Park Chang-geun, BIGBANG, Sung Si-kyung, STAYC, 10CM, Lee Moo-jin, Red Velvet, Lee Seung-yoon, Kep1er, Vibe, Choi Ye-na, Jannabi, Younha, fromis_9, KyungSeo, Heize, Melomance, Park Hyo-shin, Lee Sol-lomon, Paul Kim, Lee Soo, HIGHLIGHT, Jessi, Chungha, MAMAMOO, Bolbbalgan4, Zico, John Park, Jeong Eun-ji, Song Min-ho, Baek Ye-rin, Kim Junsu, Swings, Kassy, Sunmi, Davichi, Ben, Car, the garden, Jeong Seung-hwan, Jukjae, SG Wannabe, Kwon Jin-ah, Park Hye-won, Epik High, Kim Feel, Kyuhyun, Jung Dong-ha, Maktub, Homme, Hwang Chi-yeul, Lim Han-byul, Huh Gak, Ko Eun-sung, Yang Yo-seob, KyungSeo Yeji, Bi-o, Giriboy, Lim Jae-hyun, Lee Hi, V.O.S, Laboum, Kim Seung-min, Jang Beom-june, Lee Byung-chan, Wonstein, Woo Won-jae, Changmo, Mirani, Naul, Yang Da-il, and others.
