SPOTIFY, the world's no. 1 audio streaming subscription service, has announced its latest playlist creation 'RADAR Korea,' which focuses on emerging K-pop acts that cover a wide range of music genres.

According to Music Business Worldwide, since 2014, K-pop has been streamed for more than 134 billion minutes on SPOTIFY. The company also revealed that there were approximately 40 billion K-pop streams on the platform and users around the globe that bottles up K-pop tracks added to over 96 million playlists.

The newest playlist, 'RADAR Korea,' is housed under SPOTIFY's global emerging artist program known as 'RADAR.' It signifies the music streaming provider's commitment that aims to support emerging artists from the South Korean music scene.

Furthermore, the company glazes to harness the platform's strength to deepen hot new artists' connections to their audiences, bringing them to the global stage.

The playlist, 'RADAR Korea,' features the most known tracks from rising artists, namely AleXa, BIBI, A.C.E, and many more. Fans worldwide can discover many new and emerging sounds from Korea's diverse range of music artists.

According to Hellokpop, soloist AleXa expressed her gratitude and excitement by being listed as a radar artist, saying, "It is a big honor, and I'm very grateful for this opportunity to share my music in this space. Thank you so much, Spotify!" The artist also added, "The Korean music genre is such a worldwide phenomenon."

RADAR KOREA's Artists

Among the lists is AleXa, an American singer based in South Korea currently signed under ZB Label. She quickly gained fans on an international level after the release of her latest single title, 'Villain.' AleXa's debut in 2019 showcased her fierce reckoning in the K-pop world.

Another rising artist is the R&B artist Bibi. Her rich vocals have distinguished her unique sound with serious singing, rapping, and outstanding songwriting skills.

With soloists in the playlist, the five-member boy group, ACE, started out busking on the streets of hip Hongdae district in Seoul, where they first captivated the hearts of fans. Since then, the band was led to debut their first album in 2017. The boy group is responsible for hit track hits like 'CACTUS,' 'SAVAGE,' and 'UNDERCOVER.'
