Jimin, a member of the globally-renowned K-pop group BTS, continues to reach new heights with his debut solo album, "Face." He recently shattered two records on Spotify, affirming his position as a global music powerhouse.

As per data from the Twitter account @Kpop_Herald, the 27-year-old pop sensation set a new annual record for K-pop solo artists on Spotify after amassing an astonishing 757 million streams. Moreover, Jimin's "Face" became the quickest K-pop solo album to surpass the 500 million streams mark on the music streaming giant.

Earlier this year, Jimin's single "Set Me Free Pt.2" climbed to the No. 6 spot on Spotify's global music chart, racking up over 4.8 million filtered streams on its debut day, according to AllKPop. This track trumped "Vibe," Jimin's collaboration with Big Bang's Taeyang, setting the record for the highest first-day debut streams by a Korean artist in 2023.

In a short span of time, Jimin's solo career has witnessed several historic achievements. He became the first K-pop solo act to sit atop Billboard's Hot 100 and Artist 100 charts. Additionally, he made history as the first K-pop soloist to enter the Global 200 chart, with 164,000 equivalent album units sold.

Further cementing his status in the music world, Jimin marked his presence on the Billboard 200 chart's top 100 for five continuous weeks, a first for a K-pop solo act.

"Like Crazy," the standout track from "Face," debuted at No. 1 on both the Hot 100 and the Digital Song Sales charts, and at No. 35 on Streaming Songs in April. The track held its position on the Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, becoming the third K-pop solo song to achieve this feat after Psy's "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman."

"Like Crazy" generated 254,000 song downloads and CD single sales and attracted 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions during its debut week, from March 24 to 30.

Jimin embarked on his solo journey following BTS's announcement of an indefinite hiatus in June 2022, with other members pursuing their individual careers. J-Hope and Jin unveiled "Jack in the Box" and "The Astronaut," respectively, before entering their mandatory South Korean military service. RM released "Indigo" in December, while Suga launched his "D-Day" album last month prior to his inaugural solo world tour. The solo debut plans of V and Jungkook, the remaining BTS members, are yet to be revealed.
