K-pop group Billlie is set to meet their fans at a debut showcase in Japan.

Billlie will hold their debut showcase, titled '(What Is Your B?)' at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo at 7 PM local time on May 20. Tickets for the event sold out on the 16th, signaling a promising start to Billy's debut in Japan.

On the 17th, Billlie released their first Japanese single album, 'GingaMingaYo-the strange world'- Japanese version, marking their official debut in Japan. Immediately after the album's release, they ranked 2nd in total sales at Tower Records, Japan's largest record shop. Furthermore, large special booths were set up from the entrance to the K-pop dedicated floor at major Tokyo record stores including 'Tsutaya', 'Tower Records', and 'HMV', as well as the main billboard at 'Marui Modi', a large shopping mall in Shibuya, Tokyo. Pop-up stores opened all over Tokyo and special fan meetings at record stores garnered attention and proved their popularity locally.

The title song 'GingaMingaYo-the strange world' is also receiving a warm response. The song entered the Oricon Daily Single Ranking at 4th place on May 16th and climbed to 3rd place the following day. As of the 19th, it was also 3rd on the Rakuten Music real-time ranking. With the release of their debut single in Japan, Billlie sold nearly 20,000 units, clearly demonstrating their potential for growth in Japan less than a year and a half after their debut. A local official reported, "They're the hottest team among recently launched girl groups from small and medium-sized agencies."

In addition, Billlie's debut in Japan was covered as a major news story by several major local media outlets, including Fuji TV's flagship morning broadcast 'Mezamashi TV' and Sankei Sports. Notably, Billboard Japan published an interview with Billlie on their official website, stating, "Billy is highly praised in Korea not only for their performances but also for their excellent expression acting on stage."

Meanwhile, Billlie has begun full-fledged local promotions with the release of their first Japanese single album. On the 17th, they celebrated the album's release by meeting fans at Sunshine City Fountain Square in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Fans flocked to see Billlie, filling up to the fourth floor. Following their debut showcase, Billlie plans to engage in a series of events, including face-to-face fan sign meetings and photo sessions.
