BTS's Jin Glows with 'The Astronaut,' Claiming 'No. 1' on Spotify's UAE Chart Two Days in a Row
BTS member Jin's 'The Astronaut' has demonstrated its popularity by ranking No. 1 for two consecutive days on the UAE Spotify chart, a stunning feat.
Jin's debut solo single, 'The Astronaut,' clinched the top spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs UAE' chart (as of May 15), securing the No. 1 position for the second day running.
Since its release on October 28 last year, 'The Astronaut' has maintained consistent popularity, entering the 'Daily Top Songs UAE' chart at No. 6. After re-entering at No. 61 on April 27, the song has been on a steep rise, ranking second for four consecutive days and finally showcasing its reverse charting power by seizing the top spot.
On the 15th, Jin ranked 54th on the 'Daily Top Artists UAE' chart, recording the highest position among K-pop solo artists of the day.
Moreover, 'The Astronaut' made a swift re-entry at No. 15 on the 'Weekly Top Songs UAE' chart last week (April 28 - May 4) and climbed to the 5th spot this week (May 5-11), testifying to soloist Jin's power. 'The Astronaut' has been charting in the upper ranks of the 'Weekly Top Songs' in Korea and Hong Kong for 28 consecutive weeks.
On the 'Daily Top Songs' chart on the 15th, it ranked 7th in Saudi Arabia, 70th in Hong Kong, and 84th in Korea. Notably, in Korea, it has been charting for 200 consecutive days since its entry at No. 3 upon release, and in Hong Kong, it has charted for 195 days, solidifying its immense global popularity.
As of the 15th, Jin's 'The Astronaut,' which has surpassed 167.88 million streams on Spotify, set the shortest time record for a Korean male K-pop solo song by achieving 10 million streams in 3 days, 50 million streams in 22 days, and 100 million streams in 72 days.
On the day of his solo song's release, Jin made his first appearance on Spotify's 'Global Top Artists' and 'Top Artists Japan' charts, setting a record for the highest debut among Korean solo artists. 'The Astronaut' entered the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart at No. 17 upon its release and charted for 37 days.
Jin, who enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier on December 13 last year, is showing his powerful 'global superstar' power, setting dazzling records on various country charts with 'The Astronaut,' a song like a heartfelt gift to his fans.
