Netflix recently released the eagerly anticipated series "Black Knight," spotlighting Kim Woo Bin's return to the screen. This futuristic series, from the creative mind of Cho Ui Seok, known for "The World of Silence" and "Master," is based on a comic series set in an Earth smothered in pollution.

Kim Woo Bin stars as 5-8, a delivery man renowned for his superior strength in a post-apocalyptic world, marking a captivating change from his role in "Our Blues". The show debuted on May 12, quickly climbing the ranks of Netflix's most-watched shows.

The first three episodes introduce viewers to a world where a comet impact has wiped out 99% of humanity. The surviving inhabitants of the Korean Peninsula rely heavily on oxygen tanks due to the pervasive air pollution, making oxygen the most sought-after commodity. Delivery men, often targeted by oxygen thieves, must be skilled warriors, thus earning them the moniker of knights.

Among these survivors is Sa Wol, played by Kang Yoo Seok, a bold refugee under the protection of Major Seol Ah (Esom). After a heartbreaking incident involving a mysterious group leads to the death of his sister, Jung Seul Ah, Sa Wol is rescued by 5-8. Recognizing similarities in their refugee backgrounds, 5-8 decides to mentor Sa Wol, helping him prepare for a competition that could elevate him from his refugee status and secure him a position as a delivery man.

Simultaneously, the narrative unfolds around the wealthy Cheonmyeong Group, led by Chairman Ryu Jae Jin and his son, Ryu Seok (Song Seung Heon). They are orchestrating a mutation development, linked with the same group that tried to abduct Sa Wol and his sister. This revelation comes from 5-8, who has connected the death of another delivery man, 5-7, to the Cheonmyeong Group's mutation project.

As the drama unfolds over six episodes, viewers will be keen to see how Sa Wol navigates the competition and what new challenges will arise in this dystopian world. "Black Knight" promises a captivating blend of action, intrigue, and survival, further cementing Netflix's position in the global streaming arena.
