Kep1er Takes Japan by Storm: From KCON to First Arena Tour
K-pop group Kep1er continues to ride a wave of tremendous popularity in Japan.
Kep1er, comprised of members Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting, attended the 'World's No.1 K-Culture Festival KCON JAPAN 2023' held on May 14 at Makuhari Messe in Japan.
Decked out in outfits featuring their official color, purple, Kep1er lit up the stage with their title track 'Giddy' from their fourth mini-album 'LOVESTRUCK!' The song fully displays the charm of nine girls encountering the emotion of love for the first time. They further captivated the audience with their second Japanese single 'FLY-BY' and its title track 'I do! Do you?' showcasing a refreshing and lovely charm.
Kep1er presented a special collaboration stage. Hikaru and Seo Youngeun opened the 'KCON JAPAN 2023' with an upgraded girls' collaboration performance based on their signature song 'POPPIA', capturing the attention of local fans. Chaehyun sang 'Dream' with Jun-ki of JO1, delivering a sweet and loveable mood.
Local fans enthusiastically enjoyed Kep1er's stage, cheering and even joining in during Kep1er's unique energetic chanting segment.
In addition to their main performance, Kep1er actively interacted with local fans through a variety of events including meet and greets, KCON LUCKY BOX, and MWAVE fan signing events.
The fervent cheers and applause from the fans filled the venue, hinting at the hot local interest in Kep1er.
Kep1er will continue to fan the flames of their local popularity with their first Japanese arena tour, 'Kep1er JAPAN CONCERT TOUR 2023 <FLY-BY>', to be held on the 20th and 21st of this month at the Tokyo National Yoyogi Stadium Gymnasium, the 2nd and 3rd of next month at the Aichi International Exhibition Center, and on the 10th and 11th at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo Prefecture.
