BTS's Jungkook and Charlie Puth have ascended to global fame as their song was selected as the 'Most Performed Song of the Year' by an American copyright organization.

The American copyright organization BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) hosted the '2023 BMI Pop Awards', officially announcing the winners of this year's pop song, songwriter of the year, publisher of the year, and the top 50 most performed pop songs in the U.S. from the previous year.

The collaborative song 'Left and Right' released on June 24 last year by BTS member Jungkook and American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth was honored as one of the 'Most-Performed Songs of the Year'.

The 'Most Performed Song of the Year' is selected based on the most played songs over the past year on terrestrial radio, satellite radio, and digital streaming services. 'Left and Right' has been a hot pick on radio stations worldwide since its release.

Additionally, on Spotify, the world's largest streaming music platform, 'Left and Right' has proven its impressive global music power and popularity by achieving 100 million streams in just 24 days after release, 200 million in 61 days, 300 million in 104 days, 400 million in 159 days, and 500 million in 232 days (before filtering).

'Left and Right' not only charted on Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100' for '17 consecutive weeks' but was also selected as one of the '17 Best Collaboration Songs of 2022'.

'Left and Right' won first place in the 'Collaboration Song' category at the '2022 E! People's Choice Awards (PCAs)', as well as the 'End of Year Best Gold' category from the prestigious American Recording Industry Association 'RIAA' (Recording Industry Association of America).

Furthermore, it took first place in the '2022 Y100 Bob of the Summer' selected by U.S. online radio broadcast 'Y100 Michiana', first place in the 'Best Hit Summer Song of 2022' hosted by global charity organization 'RED' and Italian car brand 'Fiat', and was selected in 'The 11 Best Songs for Summer 2022' by U.S. magazine Esquire. It was named 'Song of the Summer 2022' by U.S. media 'Cleveland.com', and won first place in the 'Best Collaboration' category at the '2022 Channel R Radio Awards' by 'Channel R Radio' and at the '2022 Power Awards' by 'Power Radio UK', thus illuminating its global 'mega hit song' status.
