Springtime Serenade at 'Beautiful Mint Life': 10CM, MeloMance, and Roy Kim Unveil New Songs
The music festival 'Beautiful Mint Life', a delight for those wishing to relish in the enchantment of spring, has returned this year. The artists added to the heat of the festival while the audiences reveled in the music, all mingling with the spring breeze, and indulged in the healing it offered.
The music festival 'Beautiful Mint Life 2023' (hereafter 'Be Mine') was held at Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul on May 13.
'Be Mine' had gained significant attention for being the only festival that carried on even during the pandemic. Moreover, it was the first festival to be held after the government, on May 11, announced the lowering of the COVID-19 alert level from 'Serious' to 'Caution', the first such change in three years and four months, which heightened anticipation.
This year's 'Be Mine' saw two multi-stages running for the first time in four years, with 30 artist teams participating. Day6 was selected as the headliner for the Mint Breeze Stage, and Roy Kim for the Loving Forest Garden.
The festival grounds were crowded even before opening, allowing attendees to enjoy the festival in their own ways, either in the standing zone close to the stage or in the picnic zone where they could lounge and soak in the atmosphere.
Performers included MeloMance, N.Flying, 10CM, Ha Hyunsang, Lacuna, Youda Bin Band, Nagicheol, No Reply, Jung Joon Il, Hong Isaac, Baek A, Morning, and Shin Inryu.
The artists could not hide their excitement and exhilaration amid the audience's enthusiastic response. 10CM expressed, "I feel like today will be a memorable one. Being able to perform at such an important time, in such an important order, makes me feel like I've lived diligently. I remember when I used to wear pajamas to get attention, and now, the feeling is fresh."
N.Flying said, "This is our first festival in 2023. We're thrilled and honored to be here at 'Be Mine' with our fans. Since this is our first festival this year, we've come prepared to make it a blast. Don't tire out, let's party till the end!" setting the stage ablaze with energy.
MeloMance also couldn't hide their excitement, saying, "It's been a year since we've been at 'Be Mine'. I think we can see how much people have been waiting. We'll try to give a great performance as much as you've anticipated."
In particular, there was an event where artists unveiled their new songs. 10CM and MeloMance performed all the songs from their new albums, offering the unique fun of 'Be Mine'. Roy Kim teased his new song, saying, "I think a new song will come out before or during the summer. I haven't titled it yet, but I'd appreciate it if you could help me name it," receiving a positive response.
In addition to this, various regular programs were held, including an open busking event called 'Lazy Afternoon', and a quiz contest for 'Grand Mint Festival 2023' tickets called 'Mint Doldol Selection Competition'.
Meanwhile, 'Beautiful Mint Life 2023' ('Be Mine') will continue until May 14.
