TEEN TOP Spreads Positive Influence: Attends South Korean Non-violence Campaign Celebration
The group TEEN TOP has been appointed as ambassadors for the Purme Foundation.
On May 13, TEEN TOP attended the 'South Korean Non-violence Campaign: Our Values! Let's Be Together (hereafter referred to as the South Korean Non-violence Campaign)' held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
At the event, Park Gil-sung, the director of the Purme Foundation, presented TEEN TOP with the appointment letter, officially naming them as ambassadors.
TEEN TOP expressed their sentiments saying, "We're honored to take on this meaningful role as ambassadors for the Purme Foundation. We will strive to raise more awareness about school violence and cyberbullying, and spread a culture of non-violence."
In addition to this, they took the lead in spreading a positive influence by performing a celebratory stage for teenagers with their hit songs 'To You 2020' and 'Rocking.'
The Purme Foundation is a non-profit public interest corporation (NGO) that has been working to eradicate school violence for 28 years. Established in 1995 by honorary chairman Kim Jong-ki, who lost his only son to school violence, its purpose is to raise awareness of the seriousness of school violence in civil society and to engage in activities for prevention and treatment.
Since their debut song 'Clap,' TEEN TOP has created numerous hit songs such as 'No More Perfume On You,' 'Miss Right,' and 'Rocking,' and has been warmly received both domestically and abroad. Since then, they have continued to be active in various fields such as entertainment, acting, and musicals.
Recently, TEEN TOP has been back in the spotlight through the MBC entertainment program 'Hangout with Yoo,' causing a stir by climbing back up the music charts. Riding this momentum, they have confirmed their comeback in July and have officially started preparing for their album.
TEEN TOP plans to participate in meaningful activities as the representative faces of the Purme Foundation in the future.
