FIFTY FIFTY Sets New Milestone in UK Official Charts: The Record-Breaking Ladies Strike Again
K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY has once again set a new record.
According to the UK Official Charts released on May 12, FIFTY FIFTY's 'CUPID' ranked 8th in the 'Official Singles Chart Top 100,' making it onto the top 100 list for the seventh consecutive week.
Last week, 'CUPID' climbed to the 9th spot on the Official Charts, marking a historic high for K-pop girl groups. Since its first entry into the 'Official Singles Chart Top 100' at 96th place, 'CUPID' has continually risen up the ranks to 61st, 34th, 26th, 18th, 9th, and now, impressively, 8th, marking its seventh straight week on the chart.
Fittingly dubbed the 'Record-Breaking Ladies,' FIFTY FIFTY has once again outdone their own record.
Now, the only K-pop artists with a higher rank than FIFTY FIFTY on the 'Official Singles Chart Top 100' are BTS and Psy.
On another note, the title track 'Cupid' from FIFTY FIFTY's first single 'The Beginning: Cupid,' released on February 24th, has claimed the 19th spot on the Billboard 'Hot 100' as of the 13th. This is the highest record for a song by a K-pop girl group on the Billboard 'Hot 100.'
