ENHYPEN's Grand Return With 'DARK BLOOD': Will Their Vampire Fantasy Narrative Captivate Fans?
As idol comebacks heat up in May, ENHYPEN is stepping up their game with a unique concept.
ENHYPEN, who will make their comeback with their 4th mini-album 'DARK BLOOD' on May 22, after nearly 10 months, is teasing their best comeback yet with a new concept and even more striking visuals.
ENHYPEN recently showcased the members' captivating visuals and a dark fantasy narrative in the concept trailer, concept photos, and film for their upcoming release. It is a completely different image from their previous work, 'MANIFESTO: DAY 1,' which featured a dynamic rebellious youth image.
Through three different concept photos and films divided into 'FULL,' 'HALF,' and 'NEW' versions, they support the fantasy narrative of this album.
In the 'FULL' version, the members flaunted their captivating visuals in luxurious black outfits and bold accessories, against a backdrop of neon lights. Their gestures and poses, seemingly intoxicated by their own reflection, were impressive.
The 'HALF' version shows the members immersed in cold water, looking lonely and forlorn in white shirts with ruffles, exuding a subtle fragility. This version holds the opposite charm from the extravagant 'FULL' version, making fans even more curious about the story behind it.
Lastly, in the 'NEW' version, the members walked through a blood-red flower field, exuding the atmosphere of innocent boys. All dressed in matching uniforms, they emitted a fresh and prince-like charm. ENHYPEN showed various aspects through these three versions, hinting that the three fantasy-filled versions are organically connected.
In particular, bite marks on the members' necks are repeatedly exposed through mood boards, concept photos, and films, drawing attention to how vampire elements are incorporated into ENHYPEN's dark fantasy.
ENHYPEN has showcased their growth narrative through various concepts so far. Through the 'BORDER,' 'DIMENSION,' and 'MANIFESTO' series, they gradually realized their calling and role amidst complex emotions encountered in a new world. They conveyed a message to their peers, saying, "We'll move forward first, so come with us."
Expectations are high for the more mature ENHYPEN in their new release, 'DARK BLOOD.' ENHYPEN's Jake recently introduced the album through a Weverse live, saying, "It's an album that showcases a lot of ENHYPEN's colors, and we're confident about it since we prepared for it for a long time."
